Not registered to vote in Washington State? Voters never before registered in Washington State can register up to two weeks before an election.
2008 Election Dates:
February 19, 2008 - Washington State's presidential primary
February 19, 2008 - special elections
March 11, 2008 - special elections
April 22, 2008 - special elections
May 20, 2008 - special elections
August 19, 2008 - state primary
November 4, 2008 - general election
Contact your county auditor to find out if a special election will be held for your precinct.
Have you moved or changed your name? To be eligible to vote in your new precinct, you must change your voter registration record no later than 30 days prior to the election. To change your record, you need to complete another voter registration form with the new address and/or new name, then deliver the form to your county auditor's office (all counties except King) or county elections department (King), or mail it in to the Secretary of State's office.
Beginning January 7, 2008,
in addition to mail-in and in-person voter registration,
the state will be offering a third option -- online voter registration.
